Vampires Suck

Claire Danvers is an advanced placement college student at Texas Prairie University in the slightly odd city of Morganville. I didn’t have to read much of Glass Houses by Rachel Caine before I really, really wanted to know what happened to these really likeable characters. With a little bit of unresolved sexual tension to keep things interesting, some seriously angry vampires and some well thought out old school vampire lore, this book returns to a more traditional idea of vampires. They’re cold, evil and hungry. Humans are their prey and their slaves. Brainiac Claire Danvers isn’t exactly the kind of person you’d expect to turn this town on its head, but she has. And now things are about to get REALLY interesting because Claire’s found something the vampires have been looking for for a long, long time. Its only after an attempted torching, many many many near death experiences and countless bowls of chilli, that you realise its a SERIES and Glass Houses is only the first book.
