Too Small to Fail by Morris Gleitzman

Morris Gleitzman is a writer who repeatedly shows that you can write a book for children on just about any topic and it will work.  He has tackled the holocaust and war in his last few books, with compassion and humour.  He has now used the global financial crisis as the background for his latest book, Too Small to Fail. We see the effects of financial disasters through the eyes of ten year old Oliver.  It is an amazing feat that Morris Gleitzman can use such serious matters in a way that is engaging and palatable for younger readers.  He doesn’t dress it up or down, he just tells a really good story.  I take my hat off to him.  In store now, $16.95
